things happen – enjoy life

15 minute HIIT workout with 5 minutes of stretching. Plus practiced some headstands afterwards.

Thank you for everyone’s comments on Lori’s health update. And glad everyone is loving our homemade raw smores recipe!

Also remember today is the last day to enter our giveaway!!

Lori’s Friday:

Green juice.

Later it was eggs, arugula, sweet potatoes, sardines, ghee, and sauerkraut.

strong-sexy shirt

Wore my favorite shirt.

Mid-afternoon was matcha green tea time along with some perfect fit protein chia seeds and coconut oil. A favorite.

Dinner was zucchini, butter lettuce, half avocado, homemade beef liver meatballs, sauerkraut and parsnip fries.

Dessert was another egg-free protein cupcake with a little chocolate sauce on top. (still working on this recipe, getting closer)

Michelle’s recap:

Green juice.

eggs sweet potato

Egg scramble with a full yam, sauerkraut, sardine, salmon, ghee, arugula and coconut oil.

I must admit I think my body does better with fruit than sweet potato/yams. Just a little side note, nothing I am worrying about.

perfect fit

I was hungry but had no real appetite so made up a perfect fit chia mush – 1 scoop perfect fit, 1 tbsp chia seeds, and 1 tbsp coconut oil.

cupcakesPracticed another egg-free version of our birthday inspired cupcakes.  A little better than the other day.

Baking normally helps me de-stress, but since the recipe was not a success it did not do the trick. But that is okay as I made up some cashew frosting and that helped!

Love licking the blender clean! I do plan on practicing another cupcake recipe today (Saturday). Hopefully it turns out better.
dinnerI still did not have much of an appetite so kept dinner simple – spiralized zucchini, beets, beef liver meatballs, avocado, sauerkraut, and coconut oil.  I enjoyed 2 glasses of wine with my dinner.

Dessert was cupcake with enjoy life chocolate chips!

Things happen in life. Good and bad. Expected and unexpected.

We just have to do our best to be as prepared as we can but to also have faith.

Enjoy life each day. Spend time with loved ones. Do what you love to do… and do it often.

**We are going through a moment in life where a situation was expected to happen but still difficult mentally. Our grandmother is not doing very well. Lori is currently flying down to Florida to be with family during this time. We are keeping our faith and spending time with loved ones.

till next time,

I’m sure it’s already somewhere in your site, but I was just curious how long you work out each day? I’m train in Muay Thai Kickboxing and am competing next month and I have friends that want to reach the same level of fitness without getting punched in the face every night :). I’ve recommended your site to so many but i get asked a lot of specific questions about a recommended daily routine. For me I work out 2 hours at my gym every night and finish with a 2 mile run with my training partners. Could you give us a brief breakdown of your daily routine? Thanks! I love that you include your daily eats! So helpful!

mary we share our daily workout too! but our workouts range from 10-30 minutes most days. We do take rest days but we never plan them out. Our work/life schedule dictates our workouts and rest days. If you have any more questions for us please let us know! Thank you for sharing the purelytwins love ;) Best of luck with your training.

Thank you! And you guys look phenomenal! And roughly 30 minutes a day?! That’s proof of the quality over quantity of your workout, for sure! Keep up the great work. Your blog is so motivating and I love that you share your daily eats. Such a helpful site. I do a lot of the diets for other fighters at my gym who need to make weight in a short amount of time but still have enough energy to train hard. I’m a trained chef and I am a total health nut and I always refer them to your site and have shared your hemp english muffin recipe with so many. (I always let them know it’s from your blog). You keep us fighting fit!

So sorry to hear about your grandmother. Prayers are with you and your family.

Sorry to hear about your grandmother, ladies. My heart goes out to you, and your family will be in my prayers.

As strange as it may seem, looking at your meals is something I’ve come to enjoy every day. I’m addicted to food porn, I think. I’m sure it’s sad… I love looking at food while I’m eating food! Anyway, your daily meals have really encourage me to consume more fat. I’m not afraid of fat, and I know I need to be eating it more often, but it wasn’t until I started to see just how much you add it to your meals that I was able to really increase my fat consumption. And you know what… I haven’t gained a single pound because of it! If anything, I’ve leaned out a bit. So thank you for inspiring me to eat more fat.

So sorry to hear about your grandmother. It’s been so hard for me to see my grandparents show such visible signs of aging, seeing their health deplete. I lost my grandfather last year, and my remaining grandparent’s are all struggling health-wise. It’s very hard, but I’m glad Lori is able to come down to be with everyone.

    Keeping you in my thoughts!
