Yesterday we did our sexy strong arm workout.

And did this 10 minute buti workout for our warm-up instead of doing our #plankworkouts. We like trying out new fitness related things and have heard great things about this buti workout.  We looked like idiots doing the buti workout, but it was fun to do! We really liked it.

Morning juices. Lori enjoyed a typical green ‘lemonade’ juice and Michelle enjoyed a beet green juice.  Similar to what we had the other day. We have been having the same juice everyday this week.

We had some morning errands to do so we stopped by starbucks for our black coffee.

Came back to make more mesquite egg wraps! We told you guys we could eat this everyday hehe.

This time we made the wrap out of 2 whole eggs and 1 tbsp mesquite, filled with each half avocado and some leftover juice pulp. And rolled it up!

Delicious.

Later we re-did our video of us making our protein single serving english muffins. Now we just have to edit it, so we hope to have that video up soon.  The picture above is hemp protein powder based and we baked it in the oven.

Also made a new flavor of our english muffin (this one was done in the microwave). We topped both muffins with our cashew lucuma frosting that was leftover from our waffles last weekend. YUMMM

We each enjoyed two english muffins :) Happy full bellies!

Dinner was salmon, sautéed greens, and brussels sprouts.  Topped with coconut oil. Another delicious meal.

Michelle ended her day with some goat kefir mixed with gelatin, as Lori just enjoyed gelatin plain.

We have been receiving some questions that we thought we would share our answers here:

1 – Are we still taking our supplements that we took while healing our gut?

Ever since getting the Body Ecology digestive care pills we have been slacking on our other supplements.  We still take 1 probiotic in the morning and have been forgetting to take it at night. We rarely remember to take HCL before we eat, so we have been noticing our digestion has not been great. We do feel our digestive systems still are weak and need supplements to help. We do plan to start taking licorice and quercetin again here soon.

2 – How is our digestion doing? constipation?

Some days we both have success and others not so much. We are still not over the hurdle of figuring out our constipation. We realize some has to do with how much water we get in, how much fiber do we have, when we eat, and stress!!! When we have more to report we will share as we know many of you have bowel issues too.  We feel this is the hardest part for us to figure out.

3 – How is our acne doing (face and back)?

Lori – Face is doing good. Have a few small pimples, not cystic like I was getting, so feel these are more stress and maybe make-up or oil pulling (as I tried a new oil ratio) related. My back is slowly improving. And I mean slowly. I was looking at pictures of me back in November and I had a clear back, so still not sure what caused this change in my skin.  I am very self-conscious about it, but Michelle is helping me stay positive.

Michelle – I go through periods of breakouts on my face and know it is mostly due to stress and lack of water. My back seems to be just about clear. Although I am getting bad rashes and itchy skin again on my legs. And I still have the bumps on my arms, which I am very self-conscious about but Lori is helping me stay positive.

4 – Do we still have bone broth? 

Yes, just honestly forget about it. We try to have one cup every other day, but sometimes it is every two days.

5 – Are we still eating marshmallows and gelatin?

Whenever we have marshmallows on hand yes we eat them daily! We do not keep track just enjoy them when we feel like them. We do try to have at least 1 tbsp gelatin plain, normally at night.

Another side note, we never really show much but we eat our pulp crackers throughout the day! We love them plus it is a great way to enjoy the pulp from our juices.

Hopefully that answers some the questions you guys have been asking us.

    I feel like this may be a stupid question, but how do you figure out which foods may be causing you digestive trouble? Can you assume it was something you ate in your most recent meal, or could it be something you ate several days ago? I get occasional bloat, gas and digestive discomfort and I’m not sure how to go about figuring out the cause. I realize you aren’t doctors, but do you have any advice?

      great question – something we are working on figuring out everyday. at the moment we don’t have much advice besides keeping food journal as it is hard to tell what foods and when – did certain foods do something to digestion.

    Thanks so much for sharing ladies! I admire both your strength and confidence :) I suffer from gut problems and It’s a long battle to live with digestive problems. It is so much more than “tummy” problems. It affects your mood, your energy level and your day to day activities. Unlike other diseases which can just eliminate a certain food group, we need to constantly find what is making us feel awful. Somedays days I’ll feel great and somedays I’ll feel like my stomach hates me. Your blog helps me know I’m not alone in finding how to eat my way toward a happy healthy life :)
