We did Tara Stiles yoga videos off LiveStrong YouTube channel.
Love the connection between the body and the mind when doing yoga.
How we feel so centered and at peace when practicing our yoga. How our minds really slow down and focus on that moment. Love that.
Even though we are not the greatest at yoga, we enjoy our yoga practice.
Also did a 5 minute #plankworkout as warmup followed by Tara’s yoga flows.
Thank goodness for Youtube!
Lori’s recap:
Simple protein green smoothie was what I was feeling like after my yoga session. Smoothie was 1 scoop perfect fit protein, water, 1 tsp kelp powder, few stalks of kale kale, fresh parsley and mint, and half frozen banana.
Later I enjoyed 3 whole eggs (with 2 raw yolks – makes perfect dressing), coconut oil, shredded carrot, arugula, and shredded brussel sprouts. I lay out my greens and shredded carrot on a plate while my eggs cook up in the skillet with the shredded brussel sprouts for a little bit before topping my plate. Top the plate with some more coconut oil. Delicious.
Great way to warm up – with hot cocoa. Followed our perfect skinny hot cocoa and added in some mint extract. Warmed me right up
Next I enjoyed one of my favs.
My favorite meal from yesterday – mint carob avocado pudding that I topped with coconut flakes and cacao nibs. I ENJOY every bite of this rich, creamy and satisfying pudding!
Dinner was sauted swiss chard, parsnips, mahi mahi, cauliflower topped with olive oil, black lava sea salt, and nutritional yeast. I added the nutritional yeast to help jazz up the plate some, since it was a little boring without it.
Ran out of marshmallows (the horror)… so had to make more.
I made myself another batch of our St. Patty’s day inspired mint marshmallows.
Overall, I felt great. I am getting a few new pimples on face that are still big, underneath cystic style that hurt. Not sure what caused them to come… either from beets, having some sugar from the fruit, adding in hemp back into diet, stress related or just still my hormones figuring things out. My journey to really clear skin continues.
Michelle’s Recap:
Green smoothie for post workout meal!
Filled with water, romaine, parsley, perfect fit protein and 1/2 frzoen banana.
Next up was 3 eggs mixed with swiss chard, mixed lettuce, carrots, and brussel sprouts topped with dulse flakes and coconut oil.
Enjoyed the perfect skinny hot cocoa with some mint extract.
I enjoyed a plate of heaven yesterday, and today is was a CUP of heaven!
1 whole avocado blended with some cucumber and spirulina topped with coconut oil, cacao nibs, and bee pollen. And with a little stevia! To make one perfectly thick and creamy pudding!! YUM! I just love the little color and pow factor the bee pollen provided the pudding.
Dinner was boring (guess both of us felt this way), I am not going to lie.
I cooked up zucchini with kale then I mixed in salmon and sardines topped with nutritional yeast and olive oil. Like Lori, the nutritional yeast helped provide more flavor to my meal.
Dessert made up for my not so fabulous dinner
Vegan no-sugar grain-free baked thin mint!
I used carob instead of cacao and chia seeds instead of psyllium husk.
I made me some mint no sugar marshmallows! Love these things!
Overall had a great day! I took my supplements, had a bowl movement, drank my water, and had great energy all day.
We wanted to say thanks again for everyone’s comments and thoughts about food bloggers responsibility. So many of you brought up great points and brought smiles to our faces
Laury, Gena, and Lisa you all made some great points. Together we grow! —> love that Chris, thanks!! Thank you all again for sharing, it is a difficult topic but one we will always have in the back of our minds.
Well we have an exciting weekend (more on that soon) and we have a fun super easy recipe for you later today. Another St. Patty’s day inspiration!
How do you stay connected with your mind and body? Do you enjoy the body-mind connection with practicing yoga?
Do you like watching videos on youtube? Come across anything new, good or funny?
till next time,
xoxo
