gift

Received something special in the mail!

Christine (President of the Foundation) contacted us.  Lori and I donated a copy of our cookbook to the Andrew James Cherpak III Memorial Foundation, Inc. as non-profit memorial foundation.  Christine established the foundation, Andrew James Cherpak III Memorial Foundation, Inc., in honor of my dear brother who passed away due to an undiagnosed neurological disease at the age of 27. Their mission is to keep his legacy of goodwill alive by awarding sponsorships and scholarships to community members in need.

These are natural skin care products  and when the Cool Classic scent is purchased the proceeds go to the foundation. Please check out the website for information and pick yourself up something!

Christine thank you for the goodies! And enjoy the cookbook!

  2. You two are always coming up with some crazy recipes that sound delicious!

  3. Despite the fact that I’m not a huge fan of the taste of spirulina, I love avocados so much I might be able to overlook that for this recipe! haha. And yes, I LOVE thick smoothies. If they’re thin I just don’t feel like they’re as filling, so I feel like it’s more like drinking than eating, if that makes sense!

looooove all the brussels action here and those egg yolk covered salads! gotta admit that avocado pudding scares me haha. idk if i could eat it!

  7. Such a creative use for avocado. Love the idea!

  8. Kyra says:

To make the smoothie, how much if the greens, chia, and fruit do u use? I’mso used to vvery fruit heavy smoothies… Do these taste sweet or very green?

    • purelytwins says:

we just do about one small head of romaine or 2-3 stalks of kale, and lately been adding small handful of fresh herbs like parsley and mint. We did 1 tbsp chia seeds, half banana and about 1/4 cup frozen raspberries. You could also add in more fruit, but with our addition of protein powder really helps with the texture and flavor of the smoothie. It is sweet but not overly sweet.

    • purelytwins says:

Lori and I tend to do more greens and less fruit than most people, it took us years to change our taste buds to prefer less sweet smoothies. They still have a sweet flavor though since we use bananas.

      • Kyra says:

Awesome thanks!!!! What makes u gals use perfect fit, vs other proteins like garden of life, sun warrior, nutribiotic, or Vega? I’ll have to try ur method of smoothie, bc I’m sure all this fruit ain’t doing me well

And do u ever use dates?

        • purelytwins says:

we love dates, but know our body can’t handle eating them all the time. so we use them in some of our raw desserts we make. a few years ago when we were running a lot we would snack on coconut oil filled dates for energy, and loved it!
we just love the flavor and texture of perfect fit, and how the ingredients are short and simple. SunWarrior we like too. Vega we now look at as a treat, as we do not feel our bodies do well with pea protein.
