We did: 4 rounds of 10 reps : tri-cep dips, pull-ups, push-ups, ab leg raises and single-leg squats. Love the different body weight challenge the equalizer provides our at home workouts.
If you want strong flat abs DO PLANK! As you can see we do planks almost every day to get a strong core!
Michelle’s Saturday highlights:
After my workout I took my morning supplements, vanilla marshmallows, and decided to have bacon, coffee and pancakes for breakfast!
Topped my gluten-free pancakes with lots of coconut oil of course! Love these coconut carob pancakes! We have shared a few variations of this recipe like our single-serving pancake, egg-white grain-free pancake, and of course gelatin no-sugar grain-free dessert cake. Looking for vegan ideas check out our egg-free mini cake, carob chia seed mini cake and our baked thin mint.
The ones Lori and I enjoyed yesterday were similar to our coconut flour waffles.
Here is what we did for our morning pancakes:
- 2 tbsp coconut flour
- 1 tbsp carob flour
- few drops of stevia
- 2 whole eggs
Mix and cook on a skillet for fast and simple fluffy pancakes. Top pancakes with your favorite topping – ours is coconut oil.
My morning was filled with lots of smiles, giggles, hugs and happiness.
Spending time with my niece reminds me to seek happiness in the present moment.
Nothing like living in the moment to really feel alive and present, do you agree?
Later on I finally got around to making myself some green juice.
As my morning was filled my playing with my niece, my afternoon was spending time with my grandma! She is doing so much better, so thank you for all the prayers!
Also got to try on some of Raw Threads new good girls shirts!! Love them all. So excited for Disney’s Princess race coming up this weekend! Get ready Lori, they’re going to be very long days!
Rest of my eats were pretty much the same as I have been eating. Leftover shrimp and scallops with turnips, cabbage and coconut oil. I did enjoy some chocolate, hehe, had a coffee cocoa marshmallow and chocolate truffle. Dinner was liver beef meatballs with grilled zucchini, dulse, avocado and mixed greens with coconut oil. I joined in the celebration (more from Lori on that below) with my margarita kombucha cocktail!
Overall I had a good day. Some bowel movements throughout the day. No stomach issues. Energy was good. I had about 9 cups water. Took all my supplements and magnesium before bed. I truly lived in the moment yesterday and just ate when I was hungry.

After early morning workout it was time for some green juice.
Juice was kale, carrots and cucumber. A lovely way to start my day to get me focused for the day.
Breakfast was coconut flour carob pancakes with a side of bacon. mmm soo good perfect pre-test taking food 😉
And of course some black coffee.
Then it was test time! Yep test time.
Do you remember when I mentioned about trying a new career path? Well personal training test day was yesterday morning, as well as it being an extremely cold and wintery mix kind of day too.
I did it! I am a certified NASM personal trainer. Can’t believe it finally happened

Post-test lunch was a beef burger (from us wellness meats) with sautéed broccoli carrot slow, baby boy choymand left over cauliflower and coconut oil.
Then went to Whole Foods for some shopping and little celebration time too.
Late afternoon I got a little hungry so made myself a perfect fit protein egg bake topped with coconut oil. Just those three ingredients. Simple and yummy.
Then went for a family walk and ended up SNOWING!!! So turned around and came home to play in the snow.
It was Jax’s first time seeing SNOW!
Can’t believe it snowed, crazy!
He would play in the snow forever if he could. It was so much fun to see Jax playing around in the snow.
Did our best to get a family picture but hard with a moving object – aka- Jax.
Gary made our very first snowman at our new house. Not bad for our first one 😉
I felt like staying in last night instead of partying it up. I enjoyed a nice fire thanks to Gary and a movie – Legends of the Fall. Perfect night in.
Celebration dinner was some lovely wild caught salmon from Whole Foods served with some roasted broccoli, half avocado, sautéed kale and coconut oil. I also remembered to take my pre-dinner pills and HCL pill before this meal. Also enjoyed some celebration drinks – tequila with ginger flavored kombucha.
Lori’s thoughts of day:
I had a GREAT DAY!!!! Besides eating yummy food all day long, enjoying some snow…I passed my NASM personal trainer test! Still living on the high of passing the test, after weeks and weeks of studying! I did have a good bowel movement in the morning. I drank about 8 cups of water and had no bone broth. I had NO stomach pain or complaints all day long. I felt great The two pimples under my lip/chain area are starting to get smaller and going away slowly.
I am so happy that I can now follow a different career and dream of mine!
