Happy Tuesday friends!
Yesterday morning we enjoyed a little pre-workout fuel.
Enjoyed some coffee with banana chocolate chip chia blondie bars — new recipe coming next week.
This was the perfect pre-workout fuel we needed before our ZWOW workout later that morning.
Plus had some play time with Jax in the morning. Post workout we enjoyed a banana and a little bit later came back to have some eggs (unpictured).
Before both of us headed out of town for the holiday we stopped by Whole Foods to get some things.
Got some wholefoods coffee. Came home to work on videos and posts.
Got this CocoLife pure coconut water to try. We admit we had trouble opening the bottle up, but eventually got it. And thought the flavor was alright. Different. But the more we sipped on the coconut water the more we liked it.
To be honest we are not sure if we would buy this coconut water again. We do not buy coconut water as much as used to, mainly for cost reasons. So now when we buy coconut water we look it as more of a treat.
Jax loved having another play date buddy.
Enjoyed some very messy but yummy nori sweet potato avocado wraps (have a video of me making this coming soon).
After the nori wraps we enjoyed some chocolate creamcake (made with stevia, which this new recipe will be in our cookbook)
Caught Michelle mid-bite.
Right before Michelle hit the road she helped me whip up some unbaked pumpkin pie for me to enjoy this week for my holiday dessert. I did the pie in a 6inch cake instead of mini tarts this time. Also I did not have any irish moss paste made up so I did coconut butter instead. Can never go wrong with coconut butter. I am already excited to enjoy this raw pumpkin pie here soon.
I plan on bringing this pie with me during my travels to see Gary’s family along with more cauliflower mash and lots of roasted vegetables.
Jax was so confused when she left. He was so sad to see her leave (me too).
Dinner was a huge salmon veggie salad topped with coconut oil. I had some spinach with chopped carrots and cauliflower mash that I added wilted kale and mushrooms to it.
This morning I woke up feeling like a green smoothie so that is what I did.
I did about 1 cup water to one large banana with 2 stalks of swiss chard, fresh ginger and a little stevia.
Now I am currently drinking my black coffee as I write up this post.
Michelle is almost home in south Florida (as she stopped in Savannah last night to see our best friend Alyson again). And I am getting things ready around here for Gary, Jax and I’s road trip adventure.
Twins question: Are you traveling for the holidays? Driving or flying? Are you bringing any food to your holiday gatherings?
till next time,
