being grateful for life

My travel to Savannah with Raw Threads is over, now getting ready for Disney’s wine and dine half marathon this weekend.

I did my best with my workouts every morning. Enjoyed a lot of coffee, eggs, perfect fit protein powder, bananas, and protein muffins. One night added in some raw brownie bites into my perfect fit mush! So good! I love chocolate. As much as I enjoy all those foods, I was looking forward to some real food! Some of you have mentioned to me about why I do not enjoy or eat at local food places when I travel. And it is not that I do not want to (because I do!), I just try to save money, I usually do not have a lot of extra free time lately, and the events are always ending late that I do not always like to enjoy a big meal right before bed, although it does happen. My stomach is starting to tell me that big meals before bed, not a good idea.

After a late night of traveling, and eating another egg coffee breakfast I needed some wholefoods! Enjoyed a mix of goodies from the salad bar and sashimi with a side of kombucha. Plus enjoyed a new tahini cocoa chia ball…recipe soon!

But the REAL highlight for me was seeing my best friend Alyson and her husband Joe! Not sure if many of you remember, but Lori and I mentioned on our old blog about a tragic accident. Well Joe is making so many improvements!!  Still a long journey ahead but each day making progress!! Alyson it is was sooo great to see you two and look forward in coming back soon!

Alyson mentioned to me about some of her co-workers are enjoying planking!! Wahoo! I also meet a few blog readers, one being Heather and her parents! What an amazing story they have – Heather and her mom have lost 100 lbs and running their first half marathon together!! So inspiring to hear stories like this and Joe’s! The body is an amazing thing if we give it time, love, and never give up! Lori would agree.

I am starting everyday now being more grateful for my life. Being grateful for the things I can do. Being grateful that I get to help and inspire others!

Thank you God for my life, my friends, and my family!

Others things I know Lori and I feel blessed and grateful for are all of you…our blog readers, facebook fans, twitter followers, and instagram friends.

Thanks girls for all the love!

Part of repairing my relationship with food is thinking every day how amazing my body is, and all the things it can do for me.

  4. Love this post! I’ve really been focusing on how grateful I am for the people in my life. I’ve had to learn that there are some moments in life that you have to let go of the things that hurt you and focus on the things/people that enrich your life. It’s been a road, but I’ve finally found an incredible happy place.
