Life is full of beauty. We just have to take the time to see it!
And I mean see ALL of what life has to offer.
Remember to slow down a little. A work in progress for me, but ever since getting Jax he has helped me with living life in the ‘moment’.
You never know where life is going to take you, so enjoy every moment and make the most of it. Find the beauty in yourself along the way. See the beauty underneath all the day to day stress and frustrations.
My weekend went by too fast…like it always seems to do. But I did manage to see all the beauty in life.
Saturday went for a 15 minute run in my pirate inspired outfit. Followed by Vega protein powder sludge. Beauty in life… being able to go for a run, have friends to support, and replenish my body with foods that nourish me.
Saturday kept it easy and stayed in to watch a movie and drink some wine, enjoy delicious food, and make a fire. Beauty in life… being able to have family time.
Saturday I was able to make some yummy eats like Michelle’s cookie brownie layered cake with cookie dough cashew frosting. Enjoyed a slice at lunch and another one for dessert. Seriously one of the best tasting cakes I have enjoyed in a long time! Beauty in life… having the chance to make and enjoy a sweet treat with no negative thoughts.
Also made some butternut squash ginger hemp seed soup. Recipe will be on blog soon! Beauty in life...have the ability to make healthy foods to share with others.
Sunday morning finally made a recipe creation that Michelle and I have talked about for a long time… protein waffle french toast (recipe coming soon). Beauty in life… having a successful recipe in the kitchen (and of course eating that success).
Tried curling my hair differently that my hair dresser mentioned to me to try. Take toweled dry hair, twist hair up into a twisted bun and clip it with a hair clip. I left it up like that all day Saturday and most of Sunday morning then took hair out of clip. Shake hair. And you end up with natural wavy hair using no chemicals or sprays! Hope to try it again. Beauty in life…ability to try new things and stretching my knowledge with my personal skills.
How we ride in the car on the way to the park. Jax prefers to sit on me like a human. Love him. Beauty in life…having a dog that makes me laugh.
Headed to the park for about little over an hour. Beauty in life…enjoying Earth’s beauty.
My two men…Gary and Jax = family hike. Oh how I just love this pic! Captures the moment so well…Jax prancing along so happy and Gary happy that he has a dog to go hiking with. Beauty in life... going on family hikes.
Found a new trail for Jax to explore and run around. Beauty in life… seeing happiness in loved ones.
Enjoyed a lovely hike with my loved ones. I was able to relax and slow down some. Take some time away from computer to see life’s beauty.
Beauty in life… slowing down to see the beauty that surrounds me.
Absolutely love how Jax gets so excited to swim, to run, to play. Beauty in life… remembering to play.
Beauty in life…love.
Got a little lost on this new trail, but managed to find our way back to the car. Jax of course did not mind the extra play time. Beauty in life… it is okay to get lost, just have faith you will find your way.
Came back from hike to enjoy a simple yet satisfying lunch. Homemade soup along with veggies, avocado, and coconut oil. All my favs! Beauty in life… cherish eating foods that nourish the body.
Little later enjoyed some more favorites of mine, homemade truffles and kombucha. Beauty in life…being blessed to enjoy foods that I love!
Love my dessert time! Beauty in life… taking the time to appreciate and savor sweet treats.
Oh if we all just slowed down from time to time more often to see ALL beauty in life. To stop and find beauty when you at least expect it! I used to think I could never slow down or never take the time to see all the beautiful blessings in my life. Maybe since I am getting older, or smarter, I am now really seeing all that I am blessed with. Realize that eating my favorite foods is a beautiful thing. Being able to play with my dog is a blessing. Being loved by so many wonderful people is breathtaking.
Life is more then just what we eat and drink. Life is full of surprises, twist and turns, and most of all…full of beauty.
Twins Question: What beauty in life did you see today? This past weekend? How do you define beauty in life?

I love this post. You are so right. We all need to slow down! I am working on it. This is one thing during my yoga teacher training I have begun to really appreciate–being present. Don’t let the beautiful things in life and life itself pass you by! So glad y you are working on this too!
And Jax is a sweetie pie! <3

Beautiful post, absolutely loved all the thought behind it. Beauty is everywhere in life, if we just look around and are aware we are in the presence of beauty each and every day in every moment. There is always something beautiful in the present moment!

Beauty in life last night when our 6-week old cried for hours because he was exhausted, hubby and I finally swayed him to sleep and all we could do was hug each other silently with the sleeping Peanut between us, and sigh. It’s amazing how quickly you can go from completely drained and stressed out to full of happiness!
