Happy Monday friends!
You can read more about our plank workout to get yourself caught up in case you missed it the first time. We have been doing planks since January/Feb 2012, we started at 2 minutes and worked our way up to 5 minutes by April for Lori’s wedding. We challenged ourselves with another 5 minute plank workout, now we are challenging ourselves more.
There is no denying how much we enjoy planks on a daily basis.
How we enjoy the burn. How we enjoy the daily movement for our bodies.

Holy cow, 8 minutes?! Amazing!
I do planks all the time. I usually do three 1-minute holds, and sometimes add some torso twisting to “increase the burn”. 🙂 I think it’s one of the best core exercises you can do! And I have your plank button on my blog to spread the word.
Michelle oh yes love twisting! Thanks for spreading the plank love
LOVE planks. They’re “portable” and this workout offers some great variation. I truly notice a difference in my body when I incorporate daily planks. Looking forward to this new challenge! (pinning now)
thanks sweetie!!
Thanks! This looks great. I will by trying it soon and I’ll let you know how it goes. Your 5 minute workout was killer so I’m sure this will be too!
awesome Taylor!
8 minutes! Wow! You ladies are amazing!
I have to say, your plank challenges have been such a huge inspiration to me. I started with three minutes, then when you two moved up to five minutes, that gave me the push I needed to go there too. I now do a five-minute plank almost everyday. To help pass the time, I usually watch Youtube videos from my favorite bloggers (like you!).
I love the challenge to go up to eight minutes! Can’t wait to push myself tomorrow! : )
awesome! yay! we are so happy to hear this keep it up!! xoxo
Love it! Thanks for the inspiration…I haven’t been able to work out the way I used to because I’m still healing from a year-and-a-half-long ankle injury that ended in a recent surgery…but you’ve inspired me to at least try to plank (now that I can dorsiflex my ankle again!). I’ve worked up to three minutes–nowhere near as amazing as eight, but it’s a start!
and dont be me :0
DONT WAIT TILL 42 to start planking….
You girls are so fit! I need you both to be my personal trainers, ok? 🙂
Yes!
You guys are insanely tough. You rock!
you two are amazing! I love the graphic showing all the muscles that planks work!
my shortest workout was an 8 minute zuzana torture session. my longest was running a marathon. 🙂
Love a good plank! I’ve been doing a variation which my yoga teacher showed me…. in plank you bend one knee, draw it closer to your core and try and get it over to the opposite elbow – feel that burn 😉
hoping to try this TONIGHT!
yay!!
Such a great workout! Loved how much it warmed my body up. I can feel the burn in my shoulders. 🙂
awesome yay!!!
Just tried this out today…had to modify a little bit because of an injured foot, but it was great. I love the variations…thanks for sharing!
awesome Julie!!! glad you liked it!
one word: Ouchhh!
You girls are tough! I could not hole it for the full 8min, had to go on my knees a few times, but it is cool…gives me something to aim for. A new goal to give me some extra motivation! Love it P.twins, thanks.
awesome Mia! yes, first few times we did it we had to take a few breaks 😉 so glad we can help keep you motivated! yay!!
I did it!! I had never done plank for such a long time! Feeling fantastic 🙂 Love you guys!
Awesome Emily!! yay
