Thank you all for the sweet comments so far about all my wedding day getting ready pictures. And about my dress! It means so much to me to be able to share this very special day with you all. So glad that everyone is enjoying the pictures!!!
Now onto the wedding ceremony. ** Warning this post is very picture heavy
We had our ceremony outside around 5pm.
And like I said earlier we were lucky in that the rain stopped just before it was time for the ceremony to start. Even if it did start to rain again, I would have been happy going inside or even doing the ceremony out in the rain (though not sure how many of our guests would have liked that, haha).
There were no words to describe how beautiful the clouds looked before the wedding.
The sky was so magical looking. Like something you would see in the National Geographic or something, and it was happening here, on my wedding day!
Loved each detail of the wedding ceremony. Kept it simple yet with a little splash of green.
Since it rained during my pre-wedding pictures. We had to do some inside, not my ideal location for pictures but it worked. I did not let the weather get to me.
Either way I was going to marry my best friend!
Gary waiting patiently for me to finally walk down the aisle so he can see me for the first time in my dress!
After all the guests and family members were seated it was time…
I remember being incredibly nervous and shaky as I was walking down the aisle.
I was full of so many emotions. Could this be really happening? I kept saying to myself over and over again. It felt weird (in a good way) that this was my wedding ceremony, from being at so many weddings from friends and my sisters, this was my time. It was very surreal at moments.
I took it all in and enjoyed every second of it.
Especially seeing Gary’s face for the first time in my dress.
Gary’s face after seeing me in my dress.
His face says it all
The walk down the aisle seemed to go by so fast yet so slow. I was filled with nerves that sometimes I did not always look up, as I was so nervous.
The whole ceremony felt like it went by in a blink. But the ceremony was everything I wanted and more.
Love this picture, as you can see a little pop of green from my shoes and that I have a huge smile on my face.
Love my dad. So blessed to have him by my side to give me away.
My ceremony felt so magical. There was a slight breeze and with a nice cloud coverage in the sky. It felt amazing.
Gary and I did our own personalized vows, yes we both wrote them out and read off paper.
I knew I was going to be too nervous and felt like I would forget something, so I played it safe and read off paper.
Then Gary read his vows. We both still have our vows with us today, that we plan to keep for our lifetime along with other wedding memories in a little safe box.
Then it was the ring exchange.
After the placement of rings which Gary now calls his hand a man hand, it was time for our unity symbol.
We used sand as our unity symbol which I highly recommend as you get to keep this symbol with you always, as I have mine set out on my dresser at home now. That way I can see it and remember this special moment every day.
Then it was time to finally kiss the bride! And a kiss Gary sure did!
Now friends that is a way to kiss the bride
Officially Mr. and Mrs.
The ceremony of my dreams came true!
I was so beyond happy and excited to celebrate with my family and friends! I felt so lucky as I got to marry the man of my dreams.
We took some pictures afterwards before the real party got started!
Both discussing how we can’t believe our wedding finally happened. How we are now married!
This is the one picture that is definitely going to be printed and framed!!
We both could not stop smiling and laughing.
Michelle and my best friend Alyson.
My little niece – Joy.
Me with the very handsome men. For the groomsmen I did simple khaki pants with a white shirt. I loved how it all turned out.
Me with my sisters and best friend. As you can tell I did skirts and lace tanks for my bridesmaids.
I wanted something non-traditional as I was not finding any dresses I liked. So I decided to do a skirt-top look, and I absolutely loved how it all came together!!!
Told you I was in love with my bouquet!
After the pictures were all done, it was time to eat and party it up!
Next is our reception pictures.
