I know many of you are getting anxious to see more of my wedding day pics! Promise they are coming. I just have a lot so I felt I needed to break them up some
I thought sharing my dessert bar first would be fun!
Who doesn’t love a good dessert bar at a wedding? I know I do! What can I say, I am a dessert lover!
But first, like most of the little details at the wedding I did myself (with the help of family and friends). I created my own cupcake flags. I again saw the idea off pinterest and loved it! I knew I had to do it too! I saw so many different variations of people creating cute little signs for the desserts. I kept the idea of using flags in each cupcake with a cute little love saying. And the other desserts had their own labels to them, that I did myself, to let people know what they were!
Each flag was individually cut out and then taped to a little toothpick.
I downloaded this DIY cupcake toppers template and printed them. Very easy to do!
A little time consuming but the final result was perfect!
Here is what my dessert bar looked like at the reception. What do you think?
I must say I was beyond impressed with the final look of my dessert bar!
Michelle and I made the chocolate truffles (we are working on a cookbook with this recipe in it)
Michelle and I also made our raw vegan key lime creamcake and triple chocolate creamcake (which you can see it the background of this picture). They went really fast, we did not even get to have one.
The cupcakes I was going to do myself but decided I did not have enough time, so I found a local health food store to make me gluten free and vegan cupcakes. There was 3 different flavors, chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla. And there were a lot of these cupcakes!
See my cupcake flag toppers! I think they turned out great!
The wood pieces that all the desserts are on were done from Gary’s dad. He cut me each slice of wood for the wedding! We used them as decorations on every table too for centerpieces, I will share pictures of those decorations here soon!
The centerpiece at the dessert table was amazing. My older sister Carrie worked with our florist to make a WOW factor kind of centerpiece for it. I think she did an amazing job!!! Loved it!
