sacha inchia seeds

We were contacted by the nice people over at Essential Living Foods awhile back…before all the moving and wedding stuff…and we just recently found the box of goodies.

ELF review

It was like Christmas!

They sent us:

coconut flakes (we love coconut)

coconut sugar (love to use coconut sugar to bake with)

coconut nectar (look forward in trying this drizzled over pancakes)

sacha inchi seeds (a new product to us!)

Sacha inchi

We immediately opened the sacha inchi seeds.

At first, we both were not sure what to think.

They were different. Salty. Savory. Earthy. A little nutty.

But we noticed ourselves keep going back for more!!

Now we enjoy a little handful each day.

Sacha seeds

Great to top on salads for crunch!

Here are some quick facts about sacha inchia seeds:

  • contain vitamin E and tryptophan
  • excellent source for Omega 3 (alpha linolenic acid) and Omega 6 (linoleic acid)
  • good source of dietary fiber
  • contain all 8 essential amino acids

Have you heard of Sacha Inchia Seeds? Have you had them?

  7. I tried Vega’s chocolate covered sacha inchi seeds a few weeks ago and loved them!!! How lucky you get to try out all of those great products! I’ve been wanting to try coconut nectar for a while now! How’s the sugar content in it though?

I tried some roasted sacha inchi seeds that I didn’t really like too much. I wonder if I’d like the raw version better.

Bitt at first we were unsure if we liked them, but we kept trying them and over a couple of tries we started to like them. maybe we just have unique tastebuds haha :)

  10. I love sacha inchi seeds – I tried a sample of the Vega ones, and they’re also in my favorite vegan protein bar – vega chocolate saviseed.

I would totally buy more of them, but they are really expensive!
