I am finally gathering all my pictures from my house remodeling projects.
A few weeks ago my parents were in town to help with some house projects. First up was changing the kitchen light. I was not a fan of the lighting that was in the kitchen so after some trips to Lowe’s and Home Depot I finally found the new lighting that I wanted.
Though I did not realize how big of a project this new kitchen light was going to be, as it took my dad and Gary about 4 hours to complete. I felt bad that it took them 4 hours to do it, but it was worth it in the end I am a very lucky girl! I am so happy and pleased with the final results
It’s truly amazing how changing out a light can really make a room feel completely different!
Getting down the light was a challenge, but we eventually got it!
Love the design and feel to this lighting.
Once Gary and my dad figured how to set it up, it was fairly easy to do, just took a few trials to get it just right.
The lighting now is softer and makes the kitchen feel warmer. I feel this lighting fixture really helped jazz up the kitchen some.
All the hard work paid off
Other kitchen projects:
I want to still change out the flooring and possibly paint the cabinets white, but those projects will have to wait a little bit longer. Everyone likes the brown wood cabinets, especially with the new lighting. I am still unsure about it, there are moments when I like it, but then there are moments when I really love to have white cabinets. There is just something about a white kitchen that I just love!
till next time,
