we are back

hello friends!

thank you so much for the sweet words and congrats to Gary and me about our marriage this past weekend! it means the world to me to have such great friends that care and wish us all the best!

I have so many pictures and more how-to’s post of how I did my centerpieces and much more for the wedding. just have to get time to sit down and get everything ready to share with you all.

Michelle and I drove back yesterday so we are slowly getting caught up on everything like emails, cleaning, laundry, still moving Gary and me into our new house, and plus our bathroom remodeling is still going on. so currently we are somewhat living with Michelle till more work is done over at our new house.

Gary and I have opened most of our wedding gifts and now have to write all the thank you cards! we are excited about putting everything into our new house and starting this next chapter in our lives.

over the weekend Michelle and I did participate in relaxing and having an amazing time with our family and friends, from eating, drinking and staying up late. it truly was a few days of pure bliss. I am blessed with such an amazing group of friends and family. I really had the weekend of my life. I wish I could go back and do it all again!

my older sister Jen did take some pictures of the rehearsal and of rehearsal dinner, so I am going to start editing those photos and share them with you all soon. I am still waiting on seeing the pictures that the wedding photographer took at the wedding. not really sure when I will get to see those, hopefully soon. again I know you all want to see more pictures of my big day and the dress!!!! promise I will share once I get the photos :)

Michelle and I also are excited to get back to work and get back into our fitness routine. we did not workout these past 4-5 days so are bodies are getting restless for some time of movement.  plus we need to get caught up on all our blogging friends lives! as we are sure we have missed some amazing things. can’t wait to get caught up with all of you. to be honest we are a little nervous to open up our google reader.

Twins Question: For those of you that already had your wedding, how long did it take for you to get your pictures back from the photographer?  Looking back did you ‘forget’ to take certain pictures? as this happened to me, I realized I did not get some shots that I wanted too. for those that are not married yet, do you know what you would like for your wedding? indoors, outdoors? traditional or non-traditional?

till next time,

Ahhh, getting the wedding pictures was so fun! The only shot that our photographer missed (and it’s a big one) was the KISS shot!! I think it came earlier than she thought it would, so we don’t have any pictures of our first kiss as “husband and wife,” ha. Oh well :-)

SO glad everything went well– yay for weddings!!

I can not wait to see wedding pics!! I feel like I am waiting for the biggest christmas gift, haha! I am sure they look amazing! YAY!

I got my wedding pics back fairly fast, so I am sure you will too! I guess it depends how busy the photographer is ;)

I really wanted to get more shots of my sisters and I at the reception and also more shots with other special people but didn’t. the night was just crazy and went so fast!

    Happy Tuesday!

SO wonderful! Our photographer was amazingly fast. She had our slideshow up a day and a half later and our pictures up on the website for review within a couple weeks.

We got married in October and had the pictures back my December. It was the longest period of time I think I ever experienced!! She sent us some previews shortly after the wedding, but they just made me want ALL the pictures that much more! Worth the wait though ;)

There were totally little things that didn’t get photographed, that I should have expressed to the photographer that I wanted done. So I entirely blame myself, because how was she to know!! But overall, our photographer was amazing and captured the day perfectly, which I’m sure yours did, too! :)

  5. says

YES!!!!! There were totally pictures that I forgot to get. One that sticks out: I had added little gems on my shoe that spelled, “I Do” and I totally forgot to ask the photographer to take a picture of these with my bouquet. I was so crushed!!! So much so that I tell every bride now to make a list of the shots they want and give it to the photographer before the big day.

Not married yet, but attending 4 this summer/fall, 2 of which I’m in… so I will be doing a lot of “research” hehe. I think traditional weddings and big receptions are awesome, but thinking about the budget I’ll be looking at (in the future) I know that I’ll have to be creative and figure out how to do things on the cheap. I’m not super crafty so DIY kind of intimidates me, but I have a lot of crafty friends so hopefully they’ll help me make magic :)

    Congrats again :D

I’m so glad to hear the day and weekend went well! I know getting back into your regular routine can be difficult after spending so much time focussing on the big day. When will you be moving into your new home?
I had two photographers for my wedding (one for my elopement in St. Lucia and one for the reception back home) and I think it took about two or three weeks to get my photos. And they were both just digital photos on CDs (no prints). It’s so hard to be patient! And yes, looking back there were certain photos that were missed.

it took us 3 months after the wedding to get our pics back but i wasn’t in a hurry :) everything was such a blur so i’m thankful i had the photos i did! will you be doing a honeymoon or post-poning it to a more convenient time? xo! cannot wait to see more photos of that beautiful dress!

In our photog contract, it stated 6-10 weeks. So we are still waiting, we are at week 7 :) But she put up some sneak peeks that we constantly swoon over!

Congratulations and enjoy newlywed life, it’s the best! Oh and our wedding was supposed to be outside, but there were tornadoes (rare for our area), so we were forced inside. But beautiful still and a picture perfect day in Savannah!

You and your hubby look so cute together!

It took about a month to get our pictures back from our wedding.
Looking back I wish I would have taken a picture with just me and my mom and with my brothers. We took family pictures but no individual shots.

    Random tidbit!
I am a Corso as well! Do you have any family that lives in California? Did you have relatives that came from northern Italy?

    Congrats again and welcome back!

Love the new pic of the two of you–and I especially love that green dress! It makes me think of mint ;)

My husband’s brother is a professional photographer, and our wedding was supersupersuper low key, so we got the pics pretty much right away, but that’s pretty untypical…
Excited to see more of yours, and good luck with the move!

Congratulations! I can’t wait to see the pictures. I’m getting married next winter (maybe) I haven’t picked a date yet or a location but I do want an outside wedding. I’m looking forward to getting some ideas from your pictures :)

You both look so happy and glowing in the pictures. Your skin looks great!

I got married in August and it took about 3 months to get our pictures. Usually it’s 2 months but our guy was in the process of moving, plus he was a family friend, so we didn’t put too much pressure on him. He sent us a sneak peak a few weeks later which gave us a preview to hold us over.

I forgot to take pictures with certain family members who traveled far to attend! Totally my fault, not his. He told me to make a list of shots I really wanted. TIP: Ask guests for their personal camera shots, we did, you’d be surprised what they captured!

omigosh, congratulations and you look amazing! actually we got married last labor day and we haven’t ordered pictures yet….. guilty as charged! looking back, I realized i was so busy making sure everyone (all our extended families) was in the picture that actually there wasnt that many of my husband and I! i wish i had more pictures of just the 2 of us… but you know, the first look at my husband walking down the aisle will forever be etched in my mind! i won’t forget that! hehe…. congrats again Mrs. Morris!
